I have been practicing various styles of yoga since 2002, but my passion lies in Hatha Yoga. I was a ballet dancer from the age of 3 yrs old until 18 yrs old when I had surgery on my knee. This caused me to take a break and re-evalute my life. A few years later I found yoga and was hooked!
I bring elements and experience from my own yoga practice into my teaching. My classes focus on asanas (physical yoga postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation. Special attention is paid to alignment, modifications and variations for all levels classes. My joy is sharing yoga, so I encourage my students to find well-being and safety. My class philosophy is yoga for the body, mind and soul.
I am a certified / registered yoga teacher - 200 hr teacher training through Open Door Yoga and am also certified in teaching pre-natal yoga. I have first aid, CPR and am registered with the Yoga Alliance. |
